Message from the Section 1510 Chair by Rich Eggleston

Hello to all members of Section 1510, and a special welcome to all new members. Before continuing, I must first thank Andy and his Board for all of their hard work, valuable time and dedication for our ASQ section success for the past year. Secondly I would like to thank the board for having the confidence in naming me the new chair for the section. I hope we can continue with the successes that our section has enjoyed over the years past. 

Coming Up….Leadership training on the 26th of July. This is a great opportunity to learn or continue to learn how the ASQ section functions as a group…………please see page 6 of this issue of the Variant for the particulars for the event. 

Recertification reminder …..If you have an ASQ certification that requires recertification every three years, look at the “Recertify BY” date on your certificate, and don’t let it lapse. If you don’t recertify in time, you will need to take the exam again to keep the certification active. Remember that you can get 0.3 RUs’ for each monthly meeting you attend. They do add up.

Thanks… to Bob Pintavalle for his effective presentation of a six sigma project his company accomplished. Bob gave his well attended talk at the sections dinner meeting on June 10th at Don Shula’s. Looking Forward……Be sure to check the Variant often for the start of new class dates for certification refresher classes. Section 1510 has assembled outstanding instructors for most all of which ASQ has to offer………… On behalf of the section Board Members we wish you all a safe summer and hope to see everyone that can attend, at the next dinner meeting in September.
